It’s Friday already!  This weekend we’re in Chattanooga, TN.  It’s only about 2 hours from home but because of the time change to Eastern time, seems like 3.  We are relaxing in a nicer hotel than normal for us because it is our 45th anniversary…tomorrow.  It’s rather surprising in many ways.  To say the time has flown is an understatement!

Join us for Five Minute Friday.  The rules are simple.  Write for five minutes.  It you have to go longer let us know when the five is done.  Link to the page and most important of all?  Stop at the person ahead of you and leave an encouraging word.  After that, stop and visit anyone else you’d like!

She got a letter one day from the new assistant pastor at her home church in Florida.

She answered it.

Yes, she knew it was a form letter.

But it had a paragraph with a personal note.

Letters began arriving every so often as she was studying in Philadelphia.

She enjoyed his humor…

His outlook on life.

As time went on, they had a chance to get to know each other more in person…

On a mission trip to Costa Rica where her parents worked.

There they knew they had something.

As they sat on the beach in a very romantic setting…under the moonlight,

He asked her about whether they could get more serious.

“But I’m 8 years older than you.

My dad died in his 40’s of heart disease.”

She replied, “If it doesn’t bother me, it shouldn’t bother you.”

The next September, she became We.

That was 45 years ago!                       STOP

Tomorrow is the date…September 21, 2013.

This weekend is the commemoration…

Of the grace of GOD to us and our family.
