I want to brighten your cold winter, so we’re having our first Gritty Grace Giveaway! It is open to all but I think ladies will be the most interested (or the men who love them!) Sorry, this is not the site where you will be winning a free IPad…not this year anyway. *smile*
Becky from Heirloom Soapworks is giving away 2 soaps and a heel candy (also great for cracked fingers/hands). We will draw one name for all three items and you can enjoy the Valentine Winter Delight Package in the way you want. The contest will end with a drawing at 10 AM on Friday, Feb. 4th.
Here are the rules: 1. Mailing address must be in the continental U.S.
2. Enter in the comments section of this blog. Tell me what part of the world you live in (as long as you have a US mailing address). For those of you who are privacy sensitive (and that is a very personal decision), I’m hoping you are still free to give us your state, if not your town. Anything else you would like to tell us about you is great! (one entry per person)
3. For one additional entry each, you can make a comment on my twitter (grittyg) and or my facebook page (grittygrace.com) and click like. Just be sure you include the information that it is an entry in the Heirloom Soap Giveaway on my site. (HSGive if you are short:)
If all goes according to plan, you should have your goodies from Heirloom Soapworks by Valentine’s Day. You will smell delicious with soap made from all natural ingredients including natural oils, you will feel pampered from the heel candy that will heal the chapped and cracked places where the winter has damaged your skin.
**The giveaway includes: pink lavender soap, sandalwood-almond soap and heel candy (useful for all the places that get cracked and dried).
I have enjoyed getting to know Becky, the owner of Heirloom Soapworks. I got to know her because she was reading my blog. I read hers and was interested in her product so bought some soap shortly before Christmas. I, who rarely smell much of anything and don’t tolerate perfumy smells, LOVED this one! (My soaps are lavender mist and lemongrass-honey-oatmeal.) I’m tempted to try the heel candy to see if that will help my husband’s cracked skin on one finger that he can’t get rid of…as well as my own dried heels and soles. (tmi? I’ll stop.)
Take a look at her website which will link you to the shop and blog. It tells you in more detail what the soaps are made of… and about Becky herself! Becky lives on the IL side of St. Louis, MO in a small (?) town there. She is a teacher turned entrepreneur. Making soap, and making it better, but in the old-fashioned ways, is what she does for fun! It started as a hobby. Now it is a business and we benefit from her love and passion. Don’t you love it when that happens?
Her website looks good. The only kind of soap I know how to make is goat’s milk soap. She’s very industrious to make it as a business. Can’t wait to hear how the contest comes out.
think I forgot to leave a comment… anyway, sounds like good stuff to help wash away some of the grit.
LOL:)
