Have you heard of a Jesse Tree? There are ornaments and devotionals. They remind us of the Old Testament history telling of the coming Messiah. #jessetree #advent #christmas

Have you heard of a Jesse Tree? If not, I’d like to introduce you. If so, it may expand some of your vision of what it is and how you may want to use it. Yes, I know it’s a bit late for this year. But it isn’t too late for after Christmas sales. I think some have started already. They are a wonderful resource for ornaments. Jesse tree ornaments call for some rather different ¬†ornaments than the traditional Christmas ones so it is wise to keep on the lookout.

You can make them with your kids too. That is always an option. I’ll try to connect you to some sites that have patterns for you. So here goes.

  1. This set of ornaments can be downloaded and colored. They are simple. This site includes Scripture for each ornament.
  2. This is another set of ornaments that comes in color or black and white.
  3. This is a set you can make with felt. There is both a book and a gift set.

What I love about the Jesse tree is that it includes so much history from the Old Testament with prophecy about Messiah.
