Do you ever feel stuck in a hole? Either stuck in your situation and you don’t feel you can find a way out of it? Or stuck in a rut of some sort where you keep repeating the same mistakes over and over and never seem to learn from them?
Do you ever feel stuck in a hole? Either stuck in your situation & you don't feel you can find a way out of it? Or stuck in a rut where you keep repeating the same mistakes over & over & never seem to learn from them? Share on XIt’s easy to feel that way. It is often difficult to find a way out of your maze that has left you feeling stuck. What do you do to get out of your rut?
Of course, you can pray for GOD to show you a way out. Pay attention to those who don’t seem to be in the ruts you are in and ask them what they are doing…or not doing. They may be able to give you some wisdom.
Pay attention to GOD’s Word as you read it. GOD will show you from His Word…as well as through sermons and other places where you are studying it within the community of believers. Ask Him to open your eyes to ways you need to change, and give you the grace to do it! stop
For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly,
but because of him who subjected it,
in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together
in the pains of childbirth until now.
And not only the creation, but we ourselves,
who have the firstfruits of the Spirit,
groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons,
the redemption of our bodies. For in this hope we were saved.
Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees?
But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness.
For we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.Romans 8:19-26 ESV
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord,
are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.II Corinthians 3:17-18 ESV
I love how God reveals himself to us through the Bible and his creation. He ALWAYS has an answer (but we don’t always look).
you are so right anita:) especially about the not always looking.
Martha, good words here! I’m so thankful we can always come before God and ask for His help. Sometimes, we need to begin by humbling ourselves and admitting we can’t get unstuck on our own.
Great post!
thanks jeanne:) that whole concept of humbling ourselves and admitting we are stuck don’t come easy to most of us…at least i don’t think i’m unique there. may He help us be more honest about our failings both to ourselves and others.
Love this! And you picked the perfect Scripture.
The one thing I have always tried to do is keep moving, even if it seems pointless. Kinda like the frog who fell into the pitcher of milk, and fought so hard that he churned it to butter and could hop out.

Taking action is often the best thing we can do.
yes tara. taking action helps. knowing what kind of action to take takes wisdom doesn’t it?
Yes, taking some action to find a way out is helpful- seeking God and others for wisdom. I’m glad that he doesn’t want us to stay stuck but that he longs for us to live in freedom from those things and that he provides a way for that!
yes lesley, i’m glad too:) being stuck is miserable. staying stuck is even worse! looking to Jesus to help show us the way out is encouraging. it helps to know He can show us the way.
