There is something about getting away from home that allows you to get a chance to breathe. Well, hopefully it does.
Getting away from the normal routine allows me the chance to breathe a little. This environment provides space, order and beauty as well as family. All provide room for being able to breathe, get reacquainted in new ways with grandchildren that are at new stages in their lives and enjoy the beauty all around me.
Getting away from the normal routine allows me the chance to breathe a little. Click To TweetThis northwestern beauty is unlike the kind of beauty where I have ever lived. It often takes my breath away with its pure grandeur. The trees are beyond huge as they tower over the yard or along mountainous roads. Each turn in the road brings another view that is drop-dead gorgeous. During the summer, the view of Mount Ranier is clear as a bell! Between the water, the mountains, the plant life and the moderate weather, it is a beautiful place for sure. What a beautiful reminder of the largeness of GOD’s creation as well as the diversity of the beauty he surrounds us with.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Click To TweetI was definitely ready for time to breathe. I was weary on too many levels. Thankfully, I’m getting refreshed slowly. By next week, I think I’ll be ready to head home and pick up some responsibilities again.
Meanwhile, we will enjoy the occasional cool day and be refreshed by the beauty all around us…as well as our family who is delightful!
Praise the Lord!
Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord!Psalm 1-2, 6
Your post made me smile, Martha. Today, I got away to the beach. Time to breathe.
we were supposed to get away for another of these in FL in June to see some other family and i got sick…food poisoning at the end of our first part of the trip. had to come home instead of head down to south FL:( so disappointing! took me about a week to get over it and want to eat actual food!
we are enjoying our time here now and hope to make up the time in south FL before too long. we’ll see.
sometimes just moving a piece of furniture offers the same rest and soul delight! next to you at tttLink party
i agree sue:) creating more order and space at home offers room to breath. this just does it a little more dramatically:)
How great — and how necessary and how true that getting away to wonderful places with loved ones restores! Nothing like seeing God’s creativity in places and people to do a body GOOD!
