That which was from the beginning,
which we have heard,
which we have seen with our eyes,
which we have looked at and our hands have touched—
this we proclaim concerning the Word of life.
The life appeared;
we have seen it and testify to it,
and we proclaim to you the eternal life,
which was with the Father and has appeared to us.
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard,
so that you also may have fellowship with us.
And our fellowship is with the Father
and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
We write this to make (y)our joy complete.
I John 1:1-4
This summer, I’ve been reading I John, both in the Bible and a commentary. Starting tomorrow, I’ll be writing about what I’ve been learning. No, it won’t be an exhaustive study or anything, but it will be a look at I John for the next few weeks.
On the Sundays before, I’ll have selected quotes from I John.
Please join us!
An absolute necessity in our everyday world and prepping to heaven. That’s all we can truly count on. I love the photo and the Word. Thank you.
so true joanne. glad you stopped by today.
I love the part of the verse: we proclaim what we see and know….what else do we have! a great reminder for this Sunday morning in which I am ready way ahead of time because i just took my dear friend back to the train after a short visit.

Thanks be to God for HIS complete and powerful plan so that OUR joy might be complete. What an incredible gift – amazing grace.
