Oh, how abundant is your goodness,
which you have stored up for those who fear you
and worked for those who take refuge in you,
in the sight of the children of mankind! In the cover of your presence you hide them
from the plots of men;
you store them in your shelter
from the strife of tongues.Blessed be the Lord,
for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me
when I was in a besieged city.I had said in my alarm,
“I am cut off from your sight.”
But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy
when I cried to you for help.
Love the Lord, all you his saints!
The Lord preserves the faithful
but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord!Psalm 31:19-24
This is certainly a different type of thankful Psalm than the recent ones I have been sharing, but it is one that is thankful for the goodness of GOD and the steadfast love of the Lord. What could be more encouraging as we think of things for which to be thankful?
If you want to read the full Psalm, you will find even more richness. I’m just giving you a taste of this Psalm. Enjoy this portion of the psalm today as you worship and take time to read the full Psalm for you encouragement.
Meanwhile, Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!
I can only be strong and let my heart take courage when HE will give me His strength and His courage so I can serve Him more and more… whether here or in heaven. Thank you.
you’re welcome joanne. thanks for dropping in:)
Bless you. Nice to “know” you.
“Blessed be the Lord, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city.” Martha, thank you for sharing this psalm. We do not forget His benefits! He has been, and will always be, a strong tower to His children. Grateful for all He does for me daily.
