As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.
For he knows our frame;
he remembers that we are dust.Psalm 103:13-14
What an encouraging verse today!
I am faced with the truth of my human frailty. I forget too much. I miss deadlines. I missed a big one recently and almost missed another important one.
The ways I remind myself aren’t working in my new place yet.
But GOD knows my frame. He has compassion on His child. He remembers we are dust.
What a tender, loving piece of Scripture.
Maybe we need to remember we are dust…and not god. Maybe we sometimes get it backward and that is why we get so stressed. Hmmm. I’ll have to think on that one.
Have a blessed Sunday as you worship GOD and meditate on His greatness!

As I’ve begun to reflect more on my past and present choices, I am awed at how unbelievably patient and caring The Father is with me! He has gently led, no matter how long it took me to listen and follow. Quite a lesson for an extremely flawed mother to 4!
absolutely carrie:)
Yes, we live in a very dusty world, and as fathers, grandfathers, mothers and grandmothers my hope is that we can turn the dust into wonderful soil that will bring many to a spiritually healthy location. Might not be describing this from my brain perfectly, but it’s in my heart perfectly. I’m filled with sorrow nearly every day as I see the sinfulness around and about our world that is being so easily accepted. Heavy sigh.
there is no question that our world is very broken joanne. our response is often that of weary pilgrim of long ago, “even so, come Lord Jesus!”
some days i have fight in me, but others, i’m just tired. i don’t want to fight anymore.
I’m glad He has compassion on me on those days too.
