Whew! 31 days of writing. I wasn’t sure I’d finish…but I did. I also learned a lot…about the topic of growing up and myself. My plan when I got into this project was that it would become an E-book. There, I said it.
I hope it will, but it will take a considerable amount of re-writing and editing and I already have a new title for it…by the time it is done, it will probably have had a few more!
I look forward to growing up more in the weeks and months ahead. I’ve had to face up to some areas in my life where I am clearly NOT grown up much yet. At times it is very discouraging. It seems I should have made more progress in all these years!
But the question for today is WHAT NOW?
Some of you may have only come across one or two areas where you feel you need change. Good for you! Start working on those areas. At the bottom of each page is something called ChangePoint. It is designed for your use to move a step or two down the road a little further. Some additional books and websites have been recommended along with helpful Scripture.
For others of you, your eyes have been opened to many areas where you need to change. It may be overwhelming right now. No matter which group you fall into, I suggest that the next step you take is this:
- PRAY Start praying now for GOD to work in your life to bring about the change that HE wants. If you are in Christ, the promise for you is that the work He has started in you will be continued until the time you go to be with Him. On the one side, we don’t have to set the agenda for change. We can obey and follow the agenda He has set for us.
- FOLLOW CLUES However, reading this series may have given you some clues that indicate where some changes need to be made. As you pray, GOD may start guiding you in a certain direction where He is wanting to work change.
- COOPERATE WITH GOD As you grow and the Holy Spirit guides you in a certain direction along with reinforcements from wise christian friends and teaching you receive in your church, you will find encouragement to move in the direction He is changing you. Cooperate with Him.
So there you have it. We can learn new or useful information but if it isn’t put into practice, it won’t do anyone any good. It won’t help us. It won’t help those who need to be around us. Trust GOD to make it clear what areas of change need to take place…one day at a time.
Blessings on you as you grow in grace…by faith in Christ alone!
…being confident of this,
that He who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion
until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:6
Now may the God of peace,
who through the blood of the eternal covenant
brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus,
that great Shepherd of the sheep,
equip you with everything good for doing his will,
and may he work in us what is pleasing to him,
through Jesus Christ,
to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
