I know I’m sharing memory work that isn’t the everyday common grouping of Bible verses some of you are used to, but my purpose both in this blog and in my life is to encourage people…in the Word. Each of these passages is along basic topics where we often need encouragement in truth.
We need to know who the real GOD is and what He is like according to His claims. We need to know what our natural nature is like. It helps us not be shocked when we do something bad, really bad. Knowing GOD and His nature helps us know the world hasn’t ended when we sin, because He has provided forgiveness…full and complete forgiveness that also satisfies his justice and righteousness.
So, without further ado, here are the verses for April to chew over. Imagine that in the one offering for sin that Jesus made before the Father…of Himself, it satisfied once and for all the demands of a holy GOD. Sin was atoned for. GOD’s people were redeemed! Their standing before the Father was the same as that of Jesus…because they now his sinless record to give to the Father, not their own record of failing after failing.
I’ll be traveling part of Wednesday and most of Thursday. Pray for me…for safety especially. Also, that I will find a place for us to live. Read on and be encouraged about the work Christ did for you on the cross.
Thank you LORD!
And every priest stands daily at his service,
offering repeatedly the same sacrifices,
which can never take away sins.
But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins,
he sat down at the right hand of God,
waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.
For by a single offering he has perfected for all time
those who are being sanctified.
