Hi. I’m sure if you regularly read my blog, you are scratching your head. First you were here. Then you were in a bright colorful place, then you landed back here.
Well, I moved my blog to what I thought was a cheaper location. Then I discovered I was being charged for more and more things that no longer made it cheaper. So I moved back so I could recoup. I am setting up a new free blog on wordpress.com called https://grittygod.wordpress.com and I will be setting up a Substack account. Over the year, I will experiment to see which is the more active one and keep it. My computer savvy son-in-law tells me that the Substack one will be because I can link it to anything–an email, a facebook page, whatever I want. It will just be a matter of figuring out how to use it. It’s not like I have thousands of followers to notify.
None of these are connected yet. When they are, you will be the first to know. I needed the wordpress account long enough to at least wade through all my old posts to get them organized and get rid of some, categorize others and edit many.
Meanwhile, I will be moving. It will just be to a smaller apartment in the building. But I thought I would have 2 months warning. Instead, someone died unexpectedly and I found out it was going to be more like a month! I’m guessing it may be more like 6 weeks. Still, I am going to be busy downsizing some more! It’s not my favorite thing to do. But it has to be done.
So the next month will be a busy one. Then, I will have a chance to sit down and cry all I want to. I will also have a chance to visit family in the northwest for a little fun. And in between, I’ll do some writing.
Then, I’ll come home to my new little apartment and get settled in to my new life without my sweet Ron. I will find a new fun life again. But it will be very different. It will be a brand new chapter for sure.
