I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Martin Luther King, Jr.

There isn’t one person in this country who can’t identify with this dream! Wherever your personal prejudice happens to lie…and everyone has them, this is where we must grow so our children will be better off than we have been.

Are you able to look at people and not judge them based on externals? Their skin color, their clothing, even the way they talk (ie. their lack of good grammar, a certain accent?). It is a challenge for sure and one we cannot meet apart from His help! In GOD’s eyes, none of the pretty/handsome externals amounts to a hill of beans.

For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart. I Samuel 16:7b
