GOD WITH US: TO BRING REDEMPTION…
Jesus had to come to be with us so He could be both human and GOD to us. He understands temptation even better tahn we do because He has stood up to it eery time! Never once in His 33 years on earth did He give in to sin in throught, word or deed. In the end, He took on our sin and paid for it by dying and He gave us His perfect record of a sinless life. Our redemption is not based on our work, but on His. Not on our record, but on His. As a result, we can stand before GOD with a perfet record, but with nothing to brag about because we didn't do it! Hallelujah! #redemption #godwithus
THERE IS ROOM IN MY HEART FOR YOU…
As I was cleaning out my garage this week, reorganizing Christmas boxes, I thought about this carol: Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne. The refrain says: "O come to my heart Lord Jesus, There is room in my heart for Thee." I realized there is often so much clutter in my heart and mind that takes up the space and energy I might use to stop and remember with gratefulness the gift GOD gave us when He came in human form. I don't think about it often enough. "I want to make more rrom in my life for you Jesus." #roomforjesus #christmascarols
GOD WITH US: IN THE MIDDLE OF SUFFERING…
God is with us in our suffering if we belong to Him. He understands our weakness better because He didn't sin. He endured the full force of temptation and the powers of Evil against Him. That makes Him sympathetic to our situation in a healthy way. #suffering #Godwithus #Advent
A THRILL OF HOPE FOR A WEARY WORLD…
Jesus came to bring hope to a weary world. He came to a world that was weary in many of the ways our world is weary this year in 2020. We have suffered from illness, death, natural disasters and political upheaval. We're tired. We're at the end of ourselves. We need the hope only He can give us. #thrillofhope #Jesusisourhope #Christmas
THANKFUL: FOR THE COMMUNITY OF GOD THAT SHOWS ME JESUS…
The community of GOD, His Church, is a place that shows me Jesus. Some of the ways I often take for granted, but I see Jesus in many ways here. Having a tangible way to celebrate this can be helpful. Ding-ding. Ring the bell! #Thankful #thechurch
THANKFUL: FOR MY FAMILY…THE GOOD, BAD AND THE UGLY…
This is the time of year that we get together with family. I'm thankful for them, but sometimes getting together can be difficult for some. My PS got a little long, but has some helps for how to survive in difficult family settings during holidays. #thankful #thankfulforfamily #difficultconversations
THANKFUL: FOR WHAT HARD TIMES TEACH ME…
Here are 3 things I have learned from hard times. So much to be learned when our lives are disrupted! GOD knows how to soften the soil of our lives. #thankful #hardtimesteach
