This scar is a subtle one. It looks so humble. For a scar, it looks prettier than some at first. We think the thought process is from GOD. But actually it isn’t! Do you know why? Because this kind of thinking will keep you away from receiving redemption for your sin. With this scar in place, you will continue the way you are. You will continue in bondage to your sin. You will never receive the gift of reconciliation with GOD.

But it is the attitude of someone who would rather stay the way they are than to bow the knee to GOD and submit to His authority. Who doesn’t want to seek forgiveness for ways we has failed GOD’s Law.
But this is a big GOD. He can redeem anything or anyone. We devalue the cross when we react as if He can’t possibly redeem us. It isn’t humility. It is unbelief. This unbelief will be a dead end for us.
Christ died for us. He has forgiven us of all our sin. He knows the depth of our sin, way better than we do. He died so we could be forgiven and live free from the bondage of sin in our lives. Be encouraged by the truth of the Gospel. It is this: while you were still a sinner, Christ died for you! He offers you peace with GOD through Christ!

we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand,
and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance,
and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,
and hope does not put us to shame,
because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit
who has been given to us.For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—
though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die—
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners,
Christ died for us.
Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood,
much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son,
much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received reconciliation.Romans 5:1-11 ESV
Call to Action: Do you struggle to believe that God would be able to forgive you? Meditate on this passage and the truth of it. Ask GOD to open your eyes to the truth of the gospel. Ask Him to open your eyes to the truth of who He is. He is the infinite GOD who is all powerful. He is able to forgive anyone who is willing to humbly come to Him with a heart of repentance. Repentance carries with it sorrow for sin. It also carries with it the desire to turn from the old way of doing life and beginning to do it a new way…with Jesus in control!
I definitely agree with you! Identity with Christ will get Redemption not identity with sin.
thanks for your comment sharon. it was fun to meet you one your post today:)
