Once again, the week flew by. I was out of town (Jackson, MS) helping a friend paint inside her house! We had a blast!
Her kids are 4-9 yrs. old and did a great job of staying happy while we painted like crazy women!
We ran into some problems in the bathroom and had to use 2 cans of Kilz before we were done! It slowed us down a bit, but we still got a lot done and left the walls looking very nice!
As for Five Minute Friday, the rules are on Lisa-Jo’s Five Minute Friday page so follow the link and enjoy!
GO
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
the rhythm of time is perpetual
it is relentless
it takes no breaks
it stops for no one.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
the seconds move to minutes
the minutes to hours
the hours to days
and the days and months to years.
the days that pass by, like a perpetual army of soldiers
the faster the time seems to go.
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
there is no time for do-overs or reruns.
only repenting, forgiving and grace…lavish grace.
the kind that has been given to me
by a just and long-suffering GOD
One who knows I will never measure up
even on my best day! STOP
Tick, tock, tick, tock…
the metronome continues until time ends
and eternity begins.
when I will no longer have to count time.
It will not hound me any longer.
Delightful conversations will be able to continue.
Creative work will be delightfully enjoyed.
There will be none of the problems that impede work here
in our broken and time-constrained world.
The rhythm will be one where we are dancing to the beat of Jesus’ music…
and it will be pure delight!
True words beautifully spoken from your heart!
thanks ron:) i always enjoy your good words.
Yes…Lots of grace through the rhythms of life. I enjoyed your poem!
thanks elise. as i’m sure you know, not every rhythm is as delightful as the next. even during the happy rhythms, we need His grace…to be aware of others around us and to love them too.
thanks for stopping by elise:)
Time cannot run backwards, and so we must always move forward. There is no point wallowing in the miserable history of our lives.
so true D’Anne. besides, if we are in Christ, our past is forgiven…no small thing!
