I had another post written and ready for you. It included a different Scripture to memorize…but I went to church Sunday and decided to change what I had written for you.
For the most part, I try to provide a place here for your encouragement. A place where once a month, you will find scripture to memorize that will provide fodder for your thoughts, true thoughts about who GOD is, who you are in his eyes, and who you are in Christ.
As I looked over the passage I chose earlier, it could have come across that the focus was once again on more things you have to DO…and that isn’t true christianity. It isn’t who we are in Christ.
So I’m passing on a passage that is just as true but shows how clearly the work that is done is all of Christ.
But you are a chosen race,
a royal priesthood, a holy nation,
a people for his own possession,
that you may proclaim the excellencies
of him who called you out of darkness
into his marvelous light.
Once you were not a people, but now you are God’s people;
once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.
I Peter 2:9-10
So meditate on this passage for the month. Enjoy!
Imagine. Once you were not a people, now you are God’s people!
