It’s Five Minute Friday and looks like I’ll actually get this up on Friday for the first time in awhile! This is the dream child of Gypsy Mama. The rules are simple.
- Write for 5 minutes and don’t look back.
- Link to Gypsy Mama and her Five Minute Friday page.
- Stop by and give an encouraging word to the person ahead of you…and any others you care to visit. It’s a great place to make new friends.
GO
What is a family?
A place where our expectations are high.
I’m not talking about perfectionism
or control in the daily minutiae of life.
A Christian family is a place where we recognize that
we are all sinners before a holy GOD.
But we reach for lofty goals.
We love each other.
We build each other up.
We encourage each other.
Our hope is in GOD.
Because we know that as we learn to see
the strengths of each other and encourage them
It will be good for our whole family!
It helps us to build up our family members.
To see them grow and develop into individuals who are good at a variety of things
Each person is gifted in different ways…and we are grateful for the contributions they make to our family.
One brings style, another drama, another is artistic, still another is down-to-earth and totally practical.
Some are quiet, others bring noise and laughter with them wherever they go.
Each has her own humor that we can all appreciate.
Each person is a special gift.
We expect them to develop the potential GOD has given them because it is a gift…
to be used for the benefit of all. STOP
Finally, brothers,
whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just,
whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable,
if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise,
think about these things.
What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—
practice these things,
and the God of peace will be with you.
Philippians 4:8-9
