I’m beginning to see the color of grace. Bright, vivid, rich, bold!
It is becoming more vivid and concrete.
It used to seem abstract and often dull, even bland.
God gives the gift of redemption to those He wants.
It isn’t based on whether we deserve it. None of us do.
It isn’t based on our specialness or attractiveness. We aren’t.
It is based on the fact that we are loved by GOD.
His grace reaches across a huge chasm and gives us the gift of the gospel.
There is nothing we can do to earn it or deserve it.
Why would we not want it?
We don’t like to be ” beholden’ ” or indebted.
We want to be in control.
stop
Grace is for those out of control, those who realize their need.
Grace is also made to give away…to others who don’t deserve it.
Live life vividly. Color it with grace.
Receive it from God and others.
Give it away liberally and boldly!
________
In case you are unfamiliar with Five Minute Friday, it comes from Gypsy Mama.
The rules are simple.
- Write for 5 minutes.
- Don’t look back. (I do reread mine for typos…and make sure it makes sense.)
- Add your photo and links and it is on its way.
- Stop in at the link before yours and make an encouraging comment…and any others you’d like to make along the way on the linky page.
- If you’re not a blogger and just want to read the many entries, it’s a lot of fun to see how many different posts can come from one simple word.
“His grace also reached across a huge chasm” and “the grace is also to be given away…” Yes. Thank you, God.
Thanks, Martha.
